PRESS STATEMENT.

It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of Terry Clarivette, a remarkable woman who gave 50 years of faithful service to Stranraer House, including her term as Chairperson from 2008 to 2021.

Aunty Terry’s leadership was marked by wisdom, consistency, and a deep, personal love for the ladies of Stranraer. Even after stepping down as Chairperson, her heart and concern never left this community. She remained deeply invested in the wellbeing, dignity, and care of the residents, always carrying Stranraer close to her heart.

Having recently celebrated her 96th birthday, Aunty Terry leaves behind an extraordinary legacy of service and servant leadership. Her contribution helped shape Stranraer House into the home and community it is today, and her influence will be felt for many years to come.

On behalf of the Trustees, residents, staff, and the wider Stranraer community, I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones. We honour her life, her service, and her unwavering devotion.
May she rest in peace, knowing her life made a lasting difference.

Nadine Rooks
